Infuriated, Bhadrakal frees the spirits trapped within the Shipra river, and then sends the people to the Ujjain palace. They are possessed by the spirits of Padmini, Pingla and Bharmal’s bodies. Vikram is able to ask Bhadrakal to help and he says no. Varahmihir says to Vikram that he must get the goddess Harsiddhi prior to sunrise in order in order to reclaim the spirits.
