Duryodhan, Dushasan and Shakuni are planning to take three Pandavas on a trip to Varnavat. Shakuni proposes Duryodhan to keep harassing Bhishma. Gandhari is shocked to learn that Duryodhan is requesting Dushyala to wed Jayadrath who is the king of Sindhu. Bhishma, Vidur and Yudhishthir attempt to persuade Duryodhan from making the same choice, considering that Jayadrath is the King of the nation they oppose. But, Duryodhan and Shakuni insult Bhishma. Yudhishthir proposes Bhishma to nominate Duryodhan as his successor however, he fails.
