Udaan

Udaan: Set in 1996 in the village of Azadganj, Udaan is the story of the bonded laborers of a wealthy landlord, Kamal Narayan Rajvanshi (Bhaiyaji). The film is about the female lead character named Chakor (Spandan Chaturvedi), whom the landlord keeps (girvhi) in the form of collateral. While Chakor's mom Kasturi (Sai Deodhar) was expecting her and her father Hariya was killed in an accident. Bhuwan did not have money or an animal to give to Pandit to help pay for the funeral of Hariya. Thus, Bhuwan and Kasturi go to the Haveli and ask to pay Bhaiyaji. In the end, Tejaswini, Kamal Narayan Rajvanshi's wife suggests that the couple keep their child as collateral.
